IMPORTANT! Know your Social Media Settings

So browsing through Fetlife this morning and saw a post from a very well know player in my community talking about how her boss was trying to add her on kik cause he liked her picture. As soon as she saw the name and phone number she tried to deleted the request, but couldn't. Her boss kept asking for her phone number so he could figure out who she was. She immediately deleted KIk off her phone frantic on how to fix it. She almost got outed about her behind the scenes non vanilla lifestyle to her boss. Which ultimately could have gotten her fired.

Social media these days uses your contacts so you can find friend easily. Twitter, FaceBook, Instagram, KIK, snapchat....they all use your phone contact to add people. Most if not all are easy to turn off that setting but KIK is a little different.
KIK - Go into your settings and in privacy uncheck Let Friends Find Me and also uncheck use phone contacts. This will not allow KIK to use ANY of your phone contacts to add you or to add them.

Make sure to check other social media apps for this feature. If you aren't sure, go to the help center of each app and look for privacy settings to check.
