That's honestly a personal thing, in that if you do not want to interact with owned subs then that is your personal choice. I don't think that it should be a universal protocol because not everyone subscribes to that way of thinking.
I don’t think questions like that can be answered so black or white with a yes or no. Some subs will have no use for twitter if they have found someone to serve.
