Compliments, do you enjoy them or is it just pointing out the obvious?
Now I am not saying I don't like or enjoy compliments or subs should not give me any but what I do find when a sub compliments the same thing especially on multiple pictures and stuff then the whole thing tends to be a bit watered down
Telling me how dominant and powerful I am (for me personally) is not a compliment it is just pointing out the already obvious
I also think compliments become watered down if that is the only thing a sub does as some sort of substitute for attention rather than paying a tribute, I am not saying a sub should pay for every compliment he makes but just pointing out that compliments alone are not enough (again speaking personally)
But how about subs, how do you feel about being complimented? For example a compliment off your Domme on your hard work, I may compliment a sub as an acknowledgement of how hard they have worked. Maybe you get compliments from Dommes and other subs on your posts, pictures and so on
I am as ever interested to hear any thoughts on this

I think compliments are vital…but only when sincere AND meaningful.
It never even occurred to me that some subs would think they could get away (at least for long) with compliments for attention. (But of course some would….)

The intent behind the compliment is everything. Is it genuine or, like you mentioned, just a way to garner attention without actually doing anything of value? The former is nice, and the latter is insulting because it means they do not think I can see right through that transparent bullshit.
