So an article recently came out on a research study done... the article is below if you want to read
http://www.theguardian.com/books/2016/may/10/fifty-shades-of-grey-readers-show-higher-levels-of-sexism-study-finds
747 college women from 18-24 were researched, although 61% haven't read the book, the other 46% who had read any part of the book said they had stronger benevolent sexist attitudes. The study showed the women 22 statements that they can agree or disagree too. One being "women seek to gain power by getting control over men"
The researchers said that there is an "issue" with the portrayal of books and movies as it empowers women's sexuality wrongly.
“The juxtaposed relation between Christian and Anastasia takes the form of a violent hierarchy, making Anastasia appear inferior to Christian – she is depicted as weaker, less assertive, more emotional, and less intelligent.
I thought this would be interesting to share and discuss.
I have never read or watched the movie because I believe in FEMDOM, as it just said the female character is shown submissively and that is totally not My KINK or any of us ladies on here!
What do you think of this study? & have you watched/read 50 Shades of Grey???
