Summer is here!

Summer is here, My pets, and Ms Laura has become quite busy. On top of My regular job, I also spend much of the summer out camping and working at various festivals. This means a great deal of sleeping in tents (yes, Ms Laura DOES know how to "rough it" in more ways then one lol), communing with nature, and a very busy schedule.

My active subs are doing well, and I have even accepted ownership of a very obedient slave who is proving himself quite worthy. A former sub has come back into the fold (yes, Ms Laura can be forgiving at times) and I hope that the 3rd time is the charm, and he will eventually be under ownership as well. There are several others who serve to various degrees, and they are proving to be good subs as well.

I am a proponent of honest dynamics. What I mean by this is I, personally, am only interested in truly honest reactions and interactions with a sub. To push a sub’s limits, you need to have enough information to know exactly where his limits lie, and how you can push on them in a positive, beneficial manner. The more information you have, the more able you will be to accomplish this, and the greatest source of information from your sub will always be interactions, honest to the core.

The most common reason most relationships, vanilla and kink alike, fail is a lack of honesty. Just about every single movie or TV show with relationship drama could have been completely avoided if the couple had just been honest from outset. Unfortunately it seems the “only as honest as I need to be” mentality is seen as the standard. This is why I stress open and honest communication at all times. To do this I have now implemented a "submissive journal". With this journal, the submissive is able to write out their feelings daily, without fear of repercussions from Me. Many submissives start this journey without a full comprehension of what it entails or what feelings may occur. For some, this dynamic brings up unresolved issues from their past, can even trigger PTSD. This journal is a place for them to write out those feelings, and a way for Me to understand the head space they are in.

This is starting out to be a very fulfilling summer, both in My vanilla life as well as in the D/s side. I hope it is the same for all of you!
